For this report, my mentor Michaela Vatcheva at PBS Wisconsin created the storyboard and assets, while allowing me to help and learn from her. The animation was my first ever motion graphics project that aired on prime time news! It was very exciting to watch the news and see the parts I worked on displayed from my own home.
SUPPORT LOCAL
The beginning of the Pandemic forced many small businesses into troubling times. My employer, Dunn's Sporting Goods, saw first hand the struggles people were facing. Not only within our own company, but within the community. At Dunn's we work with many bars and restaurants in the West Allis and Milwaukee area. To help bring in business and support the local establishments, I created this Eat, Drink, and Support Local Wisconsin design that we then produced and sold to the public. A portion of the profit from the shirts was then given to the The Tavern League of Wisconsin to provide some relief to struggling bars and restaurants.
IGNITE THE SPIRIT
MILWAUKEE FIRE DEPARTMENT
This t-shirt design was special to work on. The Milwaukee Fire Department and Ignite the Spirit Foundation, two large supporters and customers of ours, had this shirt made to acknowledge the Hispanic population in the firefighter community, and to help firefighters in need along with the Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee.
JANESVILLE ART
Graphic artwork done in collaboration with Janesville Art Infusion, a week long live arts event where muralist in the area show off their talents in the downtown area of Janesville, WI (my hometown!) If you visit the link provide in the "Published Article" button below, you will see the spectacular mural done by Jeff Henriquez. His mural was chosen as the t-shirt design for the following year's event, and I had the opportunity to recreate his artwork for print production. Minimizing his mural down to a 7 color print process.
